If you’re looking for the perfect dog walking spot this autumn, Perranporth on the North Coast is definitely worth a visit. With miles of smooth golden sand and a village that openly welcomes dogs, it’s a great ‘all weather’ location.
If you want us to feature your business or your town, get in touch to let us know you are dog friendly…
The beach itself is nestled amongst some incredible areas of outstanding natural beauty. Dogs are welcome at the beach all year around, but in July and August they must be kept on a lead between the hours of 10am to 5pm.
From the start of September you can let them run free off lead.
If you feel a bit more energetic, coastal paths are easily accessible from Perranporth and offer breathtaking scenery and a glimpse of Cornwall’s mining heritage. The circular route between Perranporth and St Agnes is particuarly spectacular, but be prepared for some steep parts on the walk.
The Watering Hole
Fancy a bite to eat or a cold beer? The Watering Hole pub, situated right on the beach has a laid back atmosphere for surfers, families and dog walkers alike.
Dogs are welcomed inside the bar, in the dining area and the Terrace. If you fancy sitting right on the beach, grab yourself a beachside table and feel the sand beneath your feet whilst you enjoy the beautiful sea view.
In the autumn months, the Watering Hole is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. www.thewateringhole.co.uk
