There were lots of dogs enjoying the UK’s only bar which is actually right on the beautiful beach at Perranporth when we visited earlier this week. Plenty snuggled down while their owners enjoyed watching crashing waves from the cosy warmth of the pub, which has a real woodburner. There are lots of other dog friendly venues in Perranporth too, including a new dog wash by the car park and Perran Pooch-wear where you can buy your dog a winter coat! More on Dog-friendly Perranporth soon!

An award winning pub with fantastic food and excellent dog friendly credentials. You may need to book a place, though, and reserve one of the dog friendly tables, so call ahead if you can. Lovely coastal walks along the magnificent stretch of coastline from St Ives and Zennor towards Pendeen and the Poldark film sets near Levant mine and Botallack.

If you haven’t heard of this award-winning pub near Helston, then you should give it a go! It is extremely dog friendly (check out their rogues gallery of doggy photos) and the food is magnificent. There are lovely walks along the coast path and Dollar Cove, next to Church Cove is dog friendly all year round. There are also walks up along Gunwalloe beach towards Loe Bar, but do be careful as those two beaches are dangerous for dogs to swim in.

The Golden Lion, Port Isaac

A spot for Doc Martin lovers, as the latest series was filmed here earlier this year. Very dog friendly with a lovely fire and fabulous walks around the coast path and a dog friendly beach a short stroll away. Food is great too.

one-alcoholThe Halfway House, Kingsand

Gorgeous little pub, a short stroll from the beach in the really beautiful village of Kingsand on the Rame peninsula. The pub  itself has a fireplace, candles, really fabulous food and a great atmosphere. They are very dog friendly, as demonstrated by Freddie at the bar here, whose picture went viral on Facebook.
