We’ve ummed and aaahed – and there have been a lot of aaahs – but we can finally reveal the winner of our Dogtographer Competition which featured in the Autumn 2017 issue of Dog Friendly Cornwall magazine.

We asked you to send in your photos of your dog enjoying life in Cornwall and received hundreds of brilliant entries.

Leading dog portrait photographer Richard Horsfield sifted through a shortlist of nearly 30 entries and came up with our winner.

So congratulations to Sarah Bulpin, of Probus, who took this great shot of her tri blue merle collie Harley while enjoying a boat trip on the Fowey Estuary.

Richard says: ‘The expression on Harley’s face seems to sum up what i think being a dog in Cornwall should feel like.’

Sarah wins a pet portrait at Richard’s studio in Par, together with a 10 by 12 canvas print of one of the shots taken.

‘My other dog will be jealous,’ she said.

Richard also picked out a runner up: Janet Midwinter, of Sennen, took this wonderful shot of her dog Maris.

Janet wins a £50 voucher for Furzu, a family-run pet store based in Truro and online, which sources quality products not usually found on the high street (www.furzu.co.uk)

You will be able to see the winning photographs reproduced in their full glory in the Spring issue of Dog Friendly Cornwall magazine, together with two other runners-up chosen by Richard.
