The SEA LIFE TRUST Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a charity based in Gweek, Cornwall, that rescues and rehabilitates grey seal pups from around the Cornish coastline.
Each season, the Sanctuary, which is set on the beautiful and peaceful upper reaches of the Helford River, rehabilitates over 70 seal pups that have been rescued for various reasons, from malnourishment to being separated from their mum.
The Sanctuary also provides a permanent home to animals that need special care from our team of marine animal experts.
When visiting the Sanctuary, you can experience wonderful marine animals up close and personal and learn all about their individual stories.
Dogs are allowed in the sanctuary, but not close to the poorly seal pups in the hospital. They can enjoy the grounds, the beautiful walks and looking at the seals and sealions and other creatures in their rehabilitation pools, however.
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is now open but visits must be pre-booked. See the website for their re-opening video.
