There are 19 display buildings including our new aircraft and military vehicle Hangar.This is not your usual museum with regimented rows of display cases. Operated and run entirely by unpaid volunteers the passion comes through as you make your way around this fascinating and intriguing museum with a few surprises along the way!! Look out for the Animals at War display, pigeons to elephants and lots in between.Literally thousands of artifacts thoughtfully displayed supported by film, voice and the written word. Easy access, and wheelchair friendly with all buildings close together.There is also a children’s play area and picnic tables. We offer basic hot and cold drinks and snacks but feel free to bring your own pasty.The garden sheds and parking outside our large double gates are nothing to do with our museum. Please drive in through the large blue gates and follow the signs to the car park within the museum.Allow yourselves at least 2-3 hours to see everything without rushing.Open Easter to November.Open 7 days a week in school holidays and July, August and September.Otherwise closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.Adult £5. Concession £4. Family £13 for 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16. Dogs go free!
