The Cornish Food Box Company started in December 2010 with the very simple aim of making it as easy as possible for people to buy Cornish food and drink.You choose what you want to order, we pack and deliver it to your door or you can visit our shop and cafe in the centre of Truro – it really is that simple!We sell food we can feel good about – to us that means grass-fed meats, sustainably caught fresh fish and seafood, and veg grown just down the road from producers we know.  All our food has been grown, reared, caught or made here in Cornwall so its completely seasonal and we can tell you exactly where it is from and how it was produced. We have now added some ranges that aren’t grown here in Cornwall but are sourced from local companies. This means we are able to supply fruit throughout the year.Today we work with more than 150 local producers and farmers, and sell everything from veg, meat and fish to sparkling wines, curry sauces and breakfast cereals. We like to think of ourselves as a Cornish supermarket (but with the ethics you want) – somewhere you can order your food shopping, without the high prices of some farm shops. We know we’re never going to be able to compete with the supermarkets on their ‘Basics’ ranges but if you’re looking for quality, fresh, free-range products that come from Cornish farmers & fishermen, fantastic bakers and makers then we can’t be beaten.The business was started in a tiny shop on the outskirts of Truro city centre. We delivered to one person in our first week (she still has an order every week to this day!) and we’ve grown the business from there through sheer hard work, great staff, wonderful customers and brilliant produce. Over six years on and 13 employees later, we have a handful of awards under our belt, hundreds of happy customers and a website selling over 1000 products.  Plus a beautiful shop and great cafe in one of Truro’s most historic buildings. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far but there’s plenty more to come so watch this space!
