Our relationship with our dog doesn’t have to complicated.
As adult dog parents, we can ‘parent’ without total control or constant obedience. I can teach you about dog body language and how to use your own human body language in a way that your dog can follow.
I will seek to find out everything about your dog. I will observe your dogs body language while he/she is moving, resting and exploring. You will have a chance to tell me and ask me questions. It’s details, context and the big picture I am looking for. Sometimes a dogs life can improve with the smallest change.
As I work with each new dog and their family, I use all my senses, including common sense and my heart. It’s important to have empathy and try to feel what a dog may be experiencing. My aim is to reflect this to the humans around the dog. It is my job to get it right. If I can change the dogs life for the better, the humans will also benefit. This is what I call working together with you and your dog, with my head, heart and hands.
I offer a dog observation at my premises (observation + questions can take up to 3 hours), in-depth questions during or after observation, free email and phone support after the session and initial training and/or advice.
After the initial observation which I detailed on the ‘observing together’ page, I can guide you with ways that will help you and your dog improve upon the situation you are in – from learning how to walk nicely on a loose leash to helping a dog who is fearful of other dogs or people.
