Kennack Sands is a beautiful stretch, tucked away just east of the Lizard point. Kennack East, which is accessible from the car park via a short stretch of coast path is dog friendly all year round and as a result is very popular with families and dog lovers.
There are two beach cafes which are open in the summer and toilets at the beach. It’s no uncommon to spot basking sharks cruising just off the coast here, and there is a little bridge over the stream at Kennack East where children can play and spot little fish. The samd is smooth and golden and at low tide you can walk around the rocks between Kennack East and Kennack West. A lovely spot for rockpooling.
Dog Friendly Lunch: The beach cafes are open in the summer. The Potter’s Bar in Kuggar, just up the hill from the beach is dog friendly.
