Treloy Touring Park (Newquay)

The friendly park, in beautiful Cornwall...

About Us
At Treloy Touring Park we are committed to being as sustainable as possible. Treloy Touring Park has been run by the Paull family for over 40 years. We have worked hard to continually improve the facilities and surroundings for our visitors.
Positioned in reputedly the sunniest part of the UK, we are ideally situated to produce solar power. We have our own 250 kilowatt solar farm which ensures that we are predominantly self-sufficient and on an annualised production basis we are net exporters to the National Grid.
Our own abundant fresh supply of water on the park is of a very high quality, and does not need any chemicals such as chlorine added to it, it is simply UV treated.
The swimming pool is primarily heated by a very efficient air-to-water heat exchanger, usually achieving between 3 and 7 kilowatts energy into the pool for every kilowatt into the exchanger, and is backed up currently by an oil boiler to maintain a constant 80+ degrees Fahrenheit water temperature. The boiler is only needed if the air temperature is low.
Our hot water for showers and hand basins is supplied by several very efficient Rinnai gas boilers. Press taps are used wherever possible to reduce wasted water.
We recycle and reduce waste wherever possible. We encourage the use of recycling bins for glass, cardboard, paper, cans and plastic. The main contractor for general waste aims for 100% recovery from waste.
Wherever possible lighting has been or is being altered, to LED, providing a low energy but attractive illumination. The reception, shop and family bathrooms all have Velux windows to allow plenty of natural light and reduce lighting required.

Dog Friendly
Treloy Touring Park is a friendly family run campsite on the coast of North Cornwall and welcomes well behaved dogs.
Set in 30 acres of parkland and from only 10 minutes’ drive to Newquay’s dog friendly beaches and South West coastal paths, Treloy Touring Park is a relaxed, dog friendly family site. Facilities for your dog include a dog exercise field and a separate walk area. A dedicated warm-water shower will ensure your dog enjoys its holiday as much as you!
Dogs love Treloy Touring Park, and it’s easy to see why. Ideally located in the countryside but within easy reach of Newquay’s stunning beaches and the South West coastal paths, there’s no shortage of days out nearby.
Treloy Touring Park has a dedicated dog exercise field, as well as a smaller dog walk area, with dog-poop bags and bins provided. We also have a path leading up through the site to quiet lanes, ideal for exploring the countryside. Our on-site Surfrider Bar, open in the evenings, has a sheltered patio area, and our cafe has outdoor seating so the whole family can relax together in the evenings.
Each of our shower blocks have somewhere to secure your dog, with water bowls provided.
We even have a dedicated warm-water outdoor dog shower, to make it easy to wash away the sand after a day out exploring Cornwall’s coastline.

Many of these pitches have been landscaped into terraces or are on a very gentle slope

Grass Non Electric Pitches
These pitches are situated in selected areas of Fox and Kestrel. There are water points nearby. These mostly level or gently sloping pitches are ideal for a true camping experience without electricity. These are suitable for all sizes of tents

Camping and Touring Pitches
Pitches are a generous size, averaging 10 metres by 12 metres, and are mostly level, or on a slight slope to help drainage. Some pitches are a different shape but still average approximately 120 square metres. We can generally accommodate any size and shape of family tent.
The park is in a sheltered valley location and has been extensively landscaped and terraced. The pitches are separated by hedges and trees into different areas, these are named after animals and wildlife you are likely to be able to spot here at Treloy. We have recently embarked upon a program of planting individual privet hedges to increase privacy.
Pitches are all numbered and allocated before arrival. If you have a favoured area or pitch, please state at time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please refer to the Park Plan.
From the secure CCTV car number plate recognition entrance gate, there are hard roads to the pitches.
As you look at your allocated pitch from the road, please site your unit to the left, and park your car to the right. This ensures compliance with the strict Fire Regulations, so if you have any difficulties you must report to Reception before setting up.

Take a dip in our sparkling pool or simply relax on the sun loungers and enjoy a delicious locally made Cornish ice cream from our shop. You can also buy fresh coffee, croissants and freshly baked Cornish pasties here to enjoy on the patio overlooking the play area, and watch the children climb, swing, run and zip wire to their heart’s content. You can also buy daily newspapers, local milk and eggs, bacon and bread, games, toys, and camping essentials. We also operate our frozen ice pack hire service from here so that there’s no need to bring your own. We sell chilled wine, local cider and beer for you to enjoy with your barbecue.
Children can fly kites and have a game of football on our playing field or follow the Nature Trail around the site while spotting the local wildlife.
To exchange Calor and Camping Gas cylinders, come along to Reception. We can also supply bricks to raise your disposable barbecue off the grass.
The Surfrider Bar and games room opens for ½ term from 26th May until 4th June. From the 1st July they are open daily until 3rd September.
